Waarom gebruiken we de term kosmische educatie?

1. Kosmische educatie geeft het kind zicht op de ontwikkeling van het universum en het leven op aarde. Het kind wordt zich bewust van zijn plaats en zijn verantwoordelijkheid voor de omgeving. 

2. Kosmische educatie is onderwijs in samenhang waarbij een goede kennisbasisstructuur zorgt voor inzicht en een kosmische houding waarbij problemen op een creatieve manier opgelost worden.

3. Het Griekse woord ‘kosmisch’ betekent orde en harmonie in de wereld en op een globaler niveau, het universum. Het hele universum werkt samen tijdens de ontwikkeling van alles dat bestaat. 4.  Educatie (Latijn: educere, wegleiden uit onwetendheid, opvoeden) is een overkoepelende term die zowel vorming, onderwijs als opvoeding omvat.
Door de term onderwijs te gebruiken richt je je op de kennisgebieden (zaakvakken). De meerwaarde van kosmische educatie is de opvoeding. Het woord 'educatie' omvat zowel onderwijs als opvoeding. [Werkgroep kosmische educatie]

5. Kosmische educatie is vredesopvoeding. Everyones talks about peace, but no one educates for peace. 
People educate for competetion, and this is the beginning for any war. 
When we educate to cooperate, and be in solidarity with another,

6. In het buitenland wordt de term Cosmic education gebruikt.

"Cosmic Education teaches children to recognize the fundamental needs we all share and to respect the cultural differences by which we meet those fundamental needs.

Such an education can lead us to a future of true peace such as that sought by Maria Montessori." 

Cosmic Education is a cornerstone of the Montessori Philosophy. At its core, Cosmic Education tells the story of the interconnectedness of all things.

It describes the role of education as comprehensive, holistic and purposeful; to encompass the development of the whole person within the context of the universe.

Maria Montessori, Cosmic Education is integral to early education, because it provides children with a framework for understanding their world and their place in it.

A child can learn to value contributions from others, ethics, and respect studies of the past.
